10th Annual General Meeting
The Bhaktapur Party Palace & Catering Association convened its 10th AGM, electing Santaram Sangachhen as president and unveiling its new executive committee.
The Bhaktapur Party Palace & Catering Association (BPPC A) gathered at its headquarters in Bhaktapur on 12 September 2026 for the landmark 10th Annual General Meeting, marking a decade of coordinated advocacy for the local hospitality sector. The assembly, attended by over 150 members and industry stakeholders, underscored the association’s commitment to professional standards, capacity building, and sustainable growth in Nepal’s catering and event‑management landscape.
During the AGM, members voted to install a fresh leadership team. Santaram Sangachhen was elected President, bringing more than two decades of experience in banquet operations. He will be supported by Vice President Rajendra Deuju, Secretary Indra Bhakta Shrestha, Vice‑Secretary Mohan Lal Shrestha, and Treasurer Krishna Sharan Chauguthi, each of whom pledged to enhance member services and strengthen ties with municipal authorities.
The newly formed executive committee also includes Bhakta Lal Shrestha, Bishnu Thapa, Mahesh Prajapati and Shiva Bhakta Hyoju as committee members. Together, they outlined a strategic plan that focuses on skill‑development workshops, certification programs, and a digital platform for resource sharing. The agenda aims to elevate the quality of catering services across the Kathmandu Valley while preserving the cultural heritage of Bhaktapur’s traditional cuisine.
In his closing remarks, President‑elect Sangachhe thanked outgoing officers for their dedication and urged all members to collaborate on the association’s upcoming initiatives, including the 2027 regional culinary expo. The BPPC A looks forward to a productive term that will reinforce its role as the voice of Nepal’s party palace and catering industry.
